Anna Faris has said Jennifer Lawrence apologised to her about those Chris Pratt rumours... it's the Dredge

Anna Faris’s new memoir Unqualified was released yesterday, and she’s been doing plenty of interviews to promote it.

Some excerpts have been released to the media, and naturally people are curious as to the revelations about her split with Chris Pratt this year, as well as the rumours that Jennifer Lawrence was somehow involved.

Lawrence and Pratt were co-starring in Passengers, and even before filming had started, Faris’s publicist had advised her of what was to come:

Even before they met in person, my publicist, out of the blue, pulled me aside and said, “Anna, listen, there are going to be paparazzi all over them,” she said. “There are going to be shots of them laughing together on their way to set. There are going to be stories circulating, and you have to brace yourself for this.” I didn’t think it would bother me. I’ve been in this business a while now and I had seen Chris star alongside other beautiful women, like Aubrey Plaza and Bryce Dallas Howard.

The false and completely unsubstantiated rumours about a relationship between Pratt and Lawrence had an impact on Anna, as she notes in the memoir:

I’d always taken pride in our relationship, and the coverage, even though it was just false rumors, was making me feel insecure

She recounts the time Lawrence apologised for the situation, even though nothing had happened:

Jennifer and I really are friendly, and she was apologetic even though she didn’t need to be, because she hadn’t done anything wrong. She’s awesome, but of course it’s hurtful and also embarrassing when people are saying your husband is cheating on you, even if it’s patently untrue. You still feel, and look, like a fool.

Not easy. (Buzzfeed)

In an episode of her podcast Unqualified, Faris also addressed the Harvey Weinstein scandal that’s taking over Hollywood.

She told a story of her own experience of sexual harassment on a movie set:

I had a director… I was on a ladder where I had this scene and I was supposed to be taking books off a shelf, and he slapped my ass, in front of the crew, so hard, and all I could do was giggle.
I remember looking around and I remember seeing other crew members being, like, ‘What are you going to do about that? That seemed weird.
That’s how I dismissed it. Like it wasn’t a big deal. But it made me feel small. He wouldn’t have done that to the lead male.

Sam Smith was on The Ellen Show yesterday, and he talked about *that* Oscar speech controversy as well as the fact that he’s no longer single.

He didn’t name names, but the prevailing theory is that his new boyfriend is Brandon Flynn from 13 Reasons Why – and he’s dedicated songs from his new album to him:

Welcome back, Sam.

fe,

Niall Horan’s new album Flicker is doing well in the charts, but it’s also gaining a fair share of high profile fans.

Yesterday, Shania Twain finally got around to listening to it, and she absolutely loved it:

“That don’t impress me much” – not Shania Twain listening to Flicker.
