Watch Anne Doyle take on her new gig as a quiz show presenter
ANNE DOYLE’S NEW career as a quiz show presenter kicks off on RTÉ this Sunday, when the pilot episode of Division airs.
The brand new format sees 32 strangers organised randomly into two groups at the beginning of the show.
One person from each team is then nominated to go head-to-head in a sudden death question session.
The first person to answer a question incorrectly is eliminated along with their whole team.
The winning team then divides in two groups of eight, and so on, until there are just two contestants left.
The show’s producer Mark O’Neill told DailyEdge.ie that the most interesting aspect of Division is “the 32 strangers meeting for the first time that day and going from team mates to competitors from one round to the next”.
The success of the pilot show this Sunday will go some way in determining if the show is fully commissioned in 2014.
Division marks Anne Doyle’s first return to RTÉ after her departure from the newsroom two years ago.
Division airs on RTÉ One on Sunday 1 December at 6.30pm
