THE MUCH TALKED about replacement for Ray D’Arcy started on Today FM this morning – and it was quite the eventful show.

It all kicked off at 9am, and the first three hours of Anton Savage’s Today FM morning career was packed with big interviews, amusing chatter and everything you would expect from the permanently-smiley presenter.

People were wishing him well early on

He landed a pretty big guest for his first show

Taking over from Ray D’Arcy is hard enough, but with Kevin Spacey as your first big interview – suddenly that seems easy.

The Edge’s guitar made an appearance

It took another attempt to get it the right way up, though.

The topic of conversation got a little heated at points

The obligatory conversation on sex brightened everyone’s morning.

And beards were mentioned
