So if, like me, you hadn’t a notion what they were then I’ll fill you in. Aperol is an old-school Italian apertif that is mixed with prosecco and soda water and garnished with a twist of orange.

I’ve tried in vain to like it because it’s become the new go-to cool girl drinks order, but I absolutely detest the bitter-sweet drink.

Aperol Spritz’s newfound popularity has resulted in some absolute gems on twitter.
