Arnold Schwarzenegger delivered a biting takedown of Donald Trump and Nazis on Facebook

“Let’s terminate hate.”

NEARLY EVERYONE INVOLVED in US politics and beyond has had their say on Donald Trump’s Monday night press conference at this stage.

It was there that he reiterated that there was “blame on both sides” for the Charlottesville attack and that the Nazi protesters contained some “very fine people”

One person we hadn’t heard from yet was former Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger – but that changed last night when this video was posted to ATTN’s Facebook page.

He had a “blunt message for Nazis”

Well, he lived up to that billing.

He started by addressing Trump’s specific “both sides” remark

He moved on to white supremacists in general, giving them a message inspired by his own childhood:

Your heroes are losers. You’re supporting a lost cause.
Growing up, I was surrounded by broken men, men who came home from the war filled with shrapnel and guilt, men who were misled into a losing ideology. And I can tell you: these ghosts that you idolize spent the rest of their lives living in shame. And right now, they’re resting in hell.

It’s amassed over 23 million views on Facebook alone since last night, and it’s winning praise for its articulate, strong message in what’s been a tragic week

Schwarzenegger finished his three-minute-long video with a message of unity:

Let’s all commit, right now, to leaving the terrible ghosts of the past in the trash heap of history. That’s where they belong.
Let’s terminate hate.

Has Trump seen it yet? Who knows. But there’s a good chance he’s been tagged in to the wildly viral Twitter version so many times that someone on his team might have to show it to him soon.

The world awaits the inevitable response.
