WE ALL MAKE mistakes when tapping away at the keyboard but this English language blunder has to be one of the most amusing.
Galway Mayo Institute of Technology wants to establish a panel for the provision of English as a foreign language, and they’re advertising for applicants on eu-supply.com
DailyEdge reader Liam was on the site this morning when he came across the ad and couldn’t help but notice a little spelling mistake.
Thinking nothing of the little ‘langauge’ error, he decided to click on the hyperlink: Little did he know what was lurking behind it.
For those of you without ridiculously good vision, here’s the full extent of the damage:
Dear Applicant,Galway Mayo Institute of Technology wishes to establish a Panl for the Provision of English as a Foreign language.GMIT invites applications for inclusion on the Panel. Interested parties are invited to consult the docuemtation associated with this notice, available on www.etenders.gov.ie. If ever there was a time to avoid typos, it’s been and gone.
But sure they’re a grand bunch of lads in GMIT, so we’re sure the world will forgive them.
