Ryan Tubridy responds to spoof death article with a cheery selfie

Yesterday, Waterford Whispers “reported” that he was found “dead inside”. Don’t worry though, he’s all right.

RYAN TUBRIDY IS the latest celebrity to become the subject of a death rumour after a satirical article claimed that he had been found “dead inside” at his Dublin home.

More than a few people fell victim to an article entitled “Ryan Tubridy Found Dead Inside” on satirical news website Waterford Whispers. “Satirical” is in bold for emphasis.

Choice quotes from the article include:

The radio and television presenter was said to have been battling life for over forty years, and it is not known when exactly he passed away.
“He may have been dead for quite some time,” said a doctor outside the star’s home today. “We believe he may have died inside over three years ago.”
Experts believe Mr Tubridy died on air during a Cuba Gooding Jr interview on The Late Late Show in 2011.

Unfortunately some people didn’t realise the article was satire…and this happened:
