AS CHRISTMAS APPROACHES, so does party season. And with party season comes hangovers, verbal diarrhoea and office party shifts.
According to research carried out by Lifeline Hangover Defence, a lot of Irish adults are liable to commit a whole array of party season sins during the festive period.
For starters, 26% of Irish adults are planning up to eight nights out over Christmas.
And with all those nights out come a whole load of sickies with 75% of Irish adults admitting to calling in sick to work on account of nursing a hangover.
20% of those surveyed admitted to telling their boss what they really think while under the influence, while 19% said that they had shared tidbits of gossip with colleagues on nights out.
Oh, the fear.
Meanwhile, 70% said that they had had a cheeky shift with a co-worker at the office party. You ol’ scoundrels.
As for Irish people’s preferred methods of curing hangovers? Coffee, breakfast rolls and brisk walks all seem to do the job.
The survey was conducted on behalf of Lifeline Hangover Defence from 17th – 26th November 2014. 529 male and female respondents between the ages of 25 – 40 years old were questioned.
Tell us: How many of these party season sins have you committed?
