1. Get off the bus one stop earlier
Time and weather permitting, this is a rather simple lifestyle change to implement. It’s been proven that even brief bursts of physical activity can do the world of good and burn calories. It’s also good for the head, so what’s stopping you?
2. Increase that water intake
None of us drink enough water. Nobody at all.
A simple way to rectify that? Invest in a reusable water bottle, bring it to work/college and top it up regularly during the day.
Not only will you save money on buying other drinks, you’ll also increase your water intake just like that and feel all the better for it.
3. Still putting sugar in your tea/coffee? Stop that
Or at least cut down.
4. Take the stairs
We know the escalator is infinitely handier, but just make a little resolution to yourself to take the stairs more often.
Your glutes will thank you.
5. Buy popcorn instead of crisps
At least the odd time.
6. Always eat your breakfast
It might be tempting to skip it in favour of staying in bed, but they don’t call it the most important meal of the day for no reason. At the very least, you won’t be hangry by lunchtime.
7. Replace mayonnaise with mustard
Making a ham sandwich? Switch mayonnaise for mustard.
Mustard has far less calories than its rival condiment and is also low in carbohydrates, sugar and trans fats.
8. Invest in smaller plates
When you eat from a large plate, you tend to eat more than you might have otherwise intended.
The solution?
Invest in some smaller plates, y’all.
9. Just say no to energy drinks
The cons far outweigh the pros. We promise.
Pulling an all-nighter? A quick cat nap will revitalise you and will come without all the nervous jitters associated with energy drinks.
