LAST MONTH, TAYTO announced their plans to open a crisp sandwich café in Dublin, and there was much rejoicing.
The café opens today on Wicklow Street, with sandwiches going for €2 a pop – with €1 from every sale going to Dublin’s Simon Community.
If you plan on dropping in, here’s a little something to get you in the mood.
Crisps with relish in a floury bap
A break away from tradition with steak-flavoured crisps
Bit notion-y, but the good old brown loaf really brings it back home.
A ham and Chipsticks masterpiece
A crisp sandwich with a side of crisps
Bold move.
A gourmet crisp sandwich on sourdough bread
A crisp sandwich stack
Layer after layer of flavour.
A Hula Hoop gamechanger
Watch out, we have a renegade over here.
A near-perfect set up
Just switch out the smoky bacon for cheese and onion and we’re laughing.
And a good old crisp baguette
It’s not posh, but it’s delicious.
