WELL, THAT’S BRAZEN.
South African news reporter Vuyo Mvoko was due to report live from outside Milpark Hospital in Johannesburg where Zambian President Edgar Lungu is currently receiving medical attention.
Right as he was about to go on air, a group of men approached Mvoko and proceeded to mug him at gunpoint.
This, despite the fact that they were in full view of television cameras that were rolling.
Police stated that the muggers successfully robbed laptops and phones and Mvoko told BBC’s Newsday that he hoped they would be identified from the footage.
The reporter also tweeted that he was “safe and sound” following the ordeal.
