George Hook's powerful response to a hateful letter is going viral worldwide

YESTERDAY, A POISON-PEN letter was delivered to broadcaster George Hook at Newstalk.

“George, nobody likes you, not even yourself,” it begins.

You’re a failure of a person: bad businessman, brutal husband and even worse father. You conned your friends in business and in life. On TV and radio, just a whinger who likes to be awkward.

And it gets much worse. But instead of throwing it in the bin, Hook decided to confront the anonymous letter-writer in a video:

The video racked up over 20,000 views since being posted yesterday evening, and has gone viral on Reddit’s Videos page.

There has been an outpouring of support on Twitter for Hook’s powerful response to the letter, from fellow broadcasters and listeners alike:
