NOTE TO BRANDS: saying a woman’s bum is good for “squeezing and shaking” probably isn’t a good way to warn people about wet weather.
This Southeastern Railway ad was spotted in a London railway station and immediately prompted outrage on Twitter.
As you can see, the poster features a large photo of a woman’s arse and says:
Good for sitting, squeezing and shaking. Don’t bruise it. Please take extra care in wet weather conditions.
Er, okay.
The photo was subsequently shared by journalist Jason Beattie and Labour MP Teresa Pearce.
The poster was later brought to Southeastern’s attention.
And this afternoon, politician Sadiq Khan announced that the poster had been removed from the railway station in question.
Lesson to brands? Don’t make anarse of yourselves.
