'Fifteens' are the Northern Irish treat the rest of Ireland needs

WANT.

WE HAVE PAID tribute to Irish delicacies like the Wexford Rissole, Cork’s King Creole and, of course, the Waterford blaa.

And now the time has come to give fifteens the love and attention they deserve.

What are fifteens, you ask?

They’re a sweet treat popular up in Northern Ireland that consists of marsmallows, digestive biscuits, coconut and cherries. (They’re called fifteens, because the recipe calls for fifteen of each ingredient.)

They look magnificent.

They’re especially good with a cup of tea.

Mmm…

For many from Northern Ireland, they’re the taste of home.

They’re so popular that even Starbucks sell them!

You know you’re in Northern Ireland when…

In short, long live fifteens.

Bring them to the rest of Ireland, please.
