This photo of a fireman rescuing police officers stuck in a lift is pure gold

TWO DAYS AGO, police officers in Kansas City hopped in a lift… and got stuck.

So who did they have to call on? The fire department, obviously.

What resulted was perhaps the greatest rescue photo of all time.

The photo immediately went viral on Twitter and Facebook, racking up thousands of shares.

Yesterday evening, Kansas City Missouri Police Department clarified matters and confirmed that everyone got out alive, save for some bruised egos.

The fireman posing smugly later commented on the photo that it was his “pleasure to give my best cheese face for the boys in blue”.
