DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.
Eurovision Song Contest (RTÉ Two, 8pm)
GET YOUR THERMOMETERS OUT BECAUSE WE HAVE EUROVISION FEVER. The first semi-final airs tonight. Ireland aren’t participating, which means you can watch it as a neutral and delight in how utterly bonkers it all is. #Eurovision
Broad City (Comedy Central, 11pm)
Tonight’s episode sees Abbi and Ilana switch places and pretend to be one another. It’s a good ‘un. #broadcity
Later Live – with Jools Holland (BBC Two, 11.15pm)
A typically star-studded line-up tonight with performances from Elton John, Bloc Party and Corinne Bailey-Rae. “Girl, put your record on…” #jools
Everyone’s talking about… Eurovision
Ireland may not be performing in this evening’s semi-final but Czech Republic are. “So what?” you say. Well, Czech Repblic’s number was written by Limerick man Aidan O’Connor.
O’Connor is credited as a co-writer on I Stand, which will be performed tonight by Gabriela Guncikova.
This isn’t O’Connor’s first time at the rodeo. According to his website, Aidan has written 25 songs that have competed in Eurovision national finals.
Good luck, Aidan!
Or flick over for:
