ANOTHER DAY, ANOTHER new foodie place opening in Dublin.
And this time it’s a pizza place on Camden Street.
Pallet Pizza, from the people who brought you Camden Kitchen, is opening tomorrow night at 87 Camden Street in the premises previously occupied by Frite Haus. (According to their Facebook, Frite Haus closed for good last weekend.)
So, what can we expect from Pallet Pizza?
Lots of pizza and lots of pasta.
We’re basically a neighborhood pizzeria. Thin bases, classic tomato and a few biancos. We’ve been working on the idea and bases since last September and it’s involved trips around Italy and lots of good eating.
We’re looking at doing fresh pastas, aranchini, risottos, salumi as well as rustica pizzas for lunch and classic thin-based pizzas for dinner. We want it to be simple and ingredient driven.
All sounds delicious. Let’s take a peak at the menu, shall we?
As you can see, it consists of pizza, pasta and unreal desserts. In other words, if you’re a divil for Italian food, it’s your new go-to place.
The restaurant opens tomorrow and will be open from Wednesday – Sunday to begin with. Buon appetito!
