This wedding photographer's heartwarming story about a Syrian refugee is going viral

OVER THE WEEKEND, a photographer named Lindsay Coulter was shooting a wedding in Canada when the bride’s zipper broke.
“The girls were all surprisingly calm but weren’t having much luck fixing the zipper,” she wrote. Coulter instructed one of the bridesmaids to ask a neighbour if he had a lend of pliers. The bridesmaid returned with a pliers and some rather interesting information.
When they didn’t have any luck fixing the zip themselves, they took their neighbour up on his offer.
“I went out to take some photos of the groomsmen and came back to find the tailor putting the finishing stitches on her dress,” Coulter wrote. “The neighbour David told me they had just moved to Canada four days ago. They didn’t speak a word of English, and had been communicating by using Google Translate.”
Coulter wrote that she was bowled over by the man’s generosity.
She added that she was inspired by the refugees’ “resilience” and proud of Canada for being so welcoming of Syrian refugees.
As of September 18th, Canada has resettled 30,862 Syrian refugees since November 2015. It has implemented a widely praised private sponsorship programme, which sees ordinary Canadians provide financial and emotional support to refugees for anything between one and three years.
Coulter’s status received thousands of likes and comments from people thanking her for sharing the heartwarming story.
