IT WAS BOTANICAL week on GBBO this week, and the remaining seven contestants were challenged to create bakes evoking nature.
Last week’s Star Baker Candice didn’t have the best episode – after so-so signature and technical bakes, she pulled it back with an excellent four-tiered showstopper bake – but something was off.
Something small but definitely important…
She wasn’t wearing her signature bold lipstick. GASP!

From the start, Candice endeared herself to viewers with her commitment to being glam while sweating in the Bake Off tent, and even promised Mel that she would wear a different shade each week.
She came out strong on episode one with this burgundy lipstick:

There’s been a lot of chat amongst female viewers about what lipsticks she might be wearing (she sadly hasn’t revealed the names yet) – so imagine their shock and upset when she came out in a nude.
