IF YOU SPEND any time in the beauty corners of the internet, you’ll have heard of ‘banana powder’ at least once.
Ben Nye Banana Powder (so named for its pale yellow colour) is a translucent setting powder, originally designed for use in drag, stage and theatrical makeup.
It’s since been co-opted by makeup artists for setting under eye concealer and foundation on oily skin – and for those who really want their makeup to last, “baking”:
At $15, the powder is affordable, but not very accessible here in Ireland.
