KARLIE KLOSS IS a lot of things.
She’s a hugely successful model having fronted campaigns for the likes of Adidas, Swarovski and Carolina Herrera. She’s a card-carrying member of Taylor Swift’s squad. She’s an avid YouTuber. She runs a coding school for teenage girls. (“Kode with Klossy”.)
Oh, and she’s also the girlfriend of Joshua Kushner. You may have heard of Joshua’s brother, Jared, who just so happens to be a senior adviser to his father-in-law President Donald Trump. (Don’t ask Karlie about that, though. She doesn’t want to talk about it.)
Like most self-respecting women in their twenties, Karlie Kloss is also apparently a huge Beyoncé fan. In fact, she is such a fan of Beyoncé that she recently filled out a questionnaire for LOVE Magazine in which she outlined her fondness for the singer.
It started off charmingly enough.
She explained that she was attracted to Beyoncé’s “swag” and “smile”. She praised the singer’s creativity and passion. ”Those costumes tho!” she exclaimed in response to a question about her favourite fan item.
But then she made a fatal mistake, an error so grave that it made people stop in their tracks and yell “FRAUD!” at their computers.
When asked how Beyoncé influenced her life, she wrote, “She is the soundtrack to my life! C’mon, Waterfalls!?”
C’mon, Waterfalls!? C’mon, Waterfalls!? C’mon, Waterfalls!?
C’MON, WATERFALLS!?
In case you haven’t already copped, there is one glaring problem with this statement.
Beyoncé had nothing to do with the song Waterfalls because Waterfalls is a TLC song.
Um…………………………..
Some have theorised that Karlie Kloss might have been referring to Beyoncé’s song Rocket, which contains the lyrics:
Rock it ’til waterfalls/Rock it ’til waterfalls/Rock it ’til waterfalls/Bathe in these waterfalls
But last night, Karlie referenced the mistake and wrote, “LOL” before including the unofficial ‘I f**ked up’ emoji.
So that Rocket theory seems like nothing more than a generous interpretation?
Either way: scarlet for you.
