LAST YEAR, LOVERS of cosy telly were shocked by the news that the Great British Bake Off would be leaving BBC for Channel 4.

Mary Berry and beloved hosts Mel and Sue jumped ship along with it, leaving Channel 4 with, as many people observed, what was essentially Paul Hollywood and a tent.

Channel 4 has just announced who will be joining Hollywood in said tent, and well, they surprised us.
