What to watch on TV tonight: Tuesday

This is the telly everyone will be talking about tomorrow.

DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

The Great British Bake Off (Channel 4, 8pm)

After a strong first episode that assuaged some doubts about the new cast, Bake Off gets to grips with biscuits. We’re ready for the triumphs and the melt downs and the puns, as always. #gbbo

World Cup 2018 Qualifier: Ireland vs Serbia (RTÉ2, 7pm)

They didn’t do too well against Georgia at the weekend, but perhaps Ireland will fare better tonight at home in the Aviva. The outcome of this match could prove to be very important at the end of their qualifying campaign. #IRLSRB

The Farthest (RTÉ One, 10.15pm)

This intriguing documentary by Emer Reynolds (part of the team behind One Million Dubliners) explores NASA’s Voyager program, which in 1977 launched two probes that became the first human-made objects to enter deep space. Wow. #thefarthest

Everybody’s talking about: American Horror Story

AHS World / YouTube

The seventh season of the creepy favourite starts tonight in the US, and focuses on the theme of the cult of personality (while also taking in Trump’s presidency. Eeek). AHS perennials like Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters are back, while Lena Dunham and comedian Billy Eichner have supporting roles. Interesting.
