Flo is already the queen of the new series of GBBO

Cool as a cucumber. Or should that be watermelon?

AFTER SOME INITIAL scepticism, viewers have settled in to the brand new Bake Off – and as usual, one contestant has already charmed everyone: Flo.

At 71, she’s the oldest person ever to compete in the series, but don’t think for one second she’s sitting off in the background.

The pensioner has quickly emerged as the fan favourite and if she doesn’t win the whole thing (or at least get to the final), there could be WAR.

She’s reminding everyone of our beloved Val from last year

Val was a bit of a fairy in comparison to Flo, though. Flo is not messing around.

First episode, she knocked out a watermelon illusion cake like it was nothing

Look at that! Brilliant.

In this week’s episode, she was shown day drinking with her gal pals…

In a pub, with mimosas, dancing to All About That Bass by Meghan Trainor. Flo is our kinda gal.

…Displayed her unflappable cool while everyone was sweating over the signature challenge

She was finished early, so she made herself a cup of tea and sat back. Sure why would she be worrying?

…And knocked fifty shades of shite out of some dough

Show that dough, Flo.

All the other contestants can’t help but love her too

Liam told her that her gin’n'jam sandwich biscuits tasted ‘sick’ (that’s ‘great’ in Young People Speak).

And she’s best mates with Julia.

Stoppit :’)

She’s on Twitter now, and it’s delightful

So wholesome. So pure. Flo for Queen of GBBO 2017. Accept no substitutes.
