What to watch on TV tonight: Thursday
DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.
Tin Star (Sky Atlantic, 9pm)
This new drama series starts tonight, but has already been slated for a second season – Tim Roth plays a former London detective who becomes the police chief of a small town in the Canadian Rockies. Heavy Twin Peaks vibes. #tinstar
Lego Masters (Channel 4, 8pm)
This series aims to find the best Lego builders in the UK and Ireland – and we’re talking grown ups, not kids. Think the Great British Bake Off, but with tiny bricks. #legomasters
Murder In The Family: True Lives (TV3, 9pm)
Families directly affected by murder-suicide in Ireland tell their stories, including Kathleen Chada, whose husband Sanjeev is serving life in prison after killing their two sons in 2013. Devastating but compelling.
Everybody’s talking about: The Pope
Netflix is making a new film based on Pope Benedict’s decision to resign from his position in 2013 – Anthony Hopkins will be playing Benedict, while Jonathan Pryce (Game of Thrones’ High Sparrow) will take on Pope Francis. The resemblance is there:
There’s no release date scheduled yet, but we’ll keep you posted.
