The viral 'bat video' family from Kerry ended up on Jimmy Kimmel and of course Derry still had the shorts on
Whoops!
We couldn't find this Tweet
IF YOU HAVE spent more than five minutes on the internet this week, you have definitely seen the video of the family from Kerry (hilariously) panicking after a bat made its way into their kitchen the other night.
It has been viewed 27 million times on Lad Bible, and a further 2.5 million times on Tadhg Fleming’s Facebook page. (Tadhg was the victim of the bat invasion who originally posted it).
It has been reuploaded to countless international media sites and has probably blown up more than the Fleming family ever expected.
So it was only a matter of time before he made his first TV appearance to discuss the gas scenes in his kitchen that night.
He wasn’t speaking to Miriam O’Callaghan or Ryan Tubridy, but rather American TV star Jimmy Kimmel.
Jimmy, like most of us, was surprised by what Tadhg actually looked like. Probably because for the duration of the interview he was far more composed than the bat video. To the delight of Kimmel, the family spoke live from the very kitchen that the bat video was filmed in.
Tadhg told Kimmel that a bat wasn’t even the first winged creature to enter the Fleming home in Kerry. Last year, they had a Robin in the sitting room. There was no confirmation as to whether Tadhg actually lives in the Batcave, but his ability to attract bats and robins highly suggests so.
They even introduced their famous peeing dog (Basil) to Jimmy and the live audience.
To wrap the interview up in the perfect fashion, Tadhg’s father revealed that he was still wearing the GAA shorts from the original video.
He did a little jig too.
We look forward to seeing what this family get up to next.
