The hip US beauty brand Glossier is finally shipping over here - we've picked 5 cult products to try

Beauty fans will know it’s been a long time coming.

IF YOU’RE A bit of a beauty nerd, chances are you’ve already heard of Glossier (pronounced like ‘dossier’. No, we don’t get it either).

The brand has amassed a cult following in the US and internationally thanks to its ‘real’ ethos – it’s all about skin that looks like skin, and playing up your natural features – and the trendy ‘millenial pink’ packaging.

Since it launched in 2014, the brand has only been available in the US – but earlier this year, they announced that they’d start shipping to the UK in October.

That’s right around the corner (where does the time go) so to prepare, we’ve made ourselves a shopping list of the most hyped products to try.

1. Boy Brow

Probably Glossier’s most raved-about item, this gel whips brows into shape while adding a little colour. The idea is to make them look full and fluffy, Brooke Shields style, and many consider it to be a Holy Grail brow product.

2. Priming Moisturiser

This moisturiser is designed to be a great base for makeup, while also making your skin look great without it.

It claims to be for all skin types, but wouldn’t be the best for controlling oil if that’s what you’re worried about. Normal and dry skin types would probably get on best with it.

3. Cloud Paint

These little paint tubes contain a thin, gel-like blush that aims to give you a healthy, just-been-on-a-brisk-walk flush. Nice.

4. Milky Jelly Cleanser

The Glossier team asked Into The Gloss readers to describe their ideal face wash, then went off and created the Milky Jelly Cleanser based on their responses.

It’s a very gentle, non-foaming formula that promises to get all your makeup off without leaving your face feeling tight. Sounds good to us.

5. Balm Dotcom

Yes, this is just a lip balm. But you’d swear it had magical healing properties, such is the fervour for it. It’s available in cherry, mint, coconut, and birthday cake flavours, and the packaging is cute to boot.

Glossier will start shipping to the UK next month – keep an eye on their social media for exact dates.

If you really can’t wait until then, you can use An Post’s Address Pal to get yourself a wee American address to ship to. Very sneaky.
