Due to the numerous allegations made against Kevin Spacey, Ridley Scott has decided to cut him from upcoming thriller All The Money In The World.

Production of the movie had been fully completed and it was set to release on the 22nd of December. Spacey worked alongside Mark Wahlberg and Michelle Williams in the movie about the true story of when billionaire Jean Paul Getty’s grandson was kidnapped.

Kevin played the role of Jean Paul Getty, who refused to pay a penny of the $17 million ransom his grandson was held at in 1973.

Spacey has now been replaced with actor Christopher Plummer. The replacement will be difficult to re-film in time for the Christmas release date, but it’s probably more cost-effective than facing a boycott on release. (Independent UK)

Charlie Sheen denies claims that he sexually assaulted Corey Haim 30 years ago. 

The Lost Boys actor Corey Haim passed away in 2010 from an accidental drug overdose, but his close friend Dominick Brascia spoke to The National Enquirer this week about an alleged sexual assault that occurred in the 1980s. At the time, Charlie Sheen was 19-years-old and Haim was just 13.

Haim told me he had sex with Sheen when they filmed Lucas. He told me they smoked pot and had sex. He said they had anal sex. Haim said after it happened, Sheen became very cold and rejected him.

Brascia claims that years later Corey and Charlie had another sexual encounter which Corey “didn’t like”.

The allegations come four years after Corey Feldman’s allegations that both himself and Corey Haim had been sexually abused by people in Hollywood. In 2013, Feldman said:

There are people that did this to me and Corey that are still working, they’re still out there, and they’re some of the most rich and powerful people in the business. And they do not want what I’m saying right now. They want me dead.

Feldman is currently attempting to crowdfund a documentary about his life, in the hopes that it will “change the entertainment system as we know it” and “bring down a pedophile ring that I’ve been aware of since I was a child.” (People)

Chance The Rapper attended a Chicago City council meeting to criticise plans for a $95 million police academy. 

The Grammy award-winning rapper is passionate about his home-state and has been vocal in the past about the urgent need for public school funding in Chicago. He called on leaders at the council meeting to consider other solutions to “transform the city without policing.”

Chance, who has made large donations towards education in Chicago, believes that crime in the city can be eradicated through the funding of schools and libraries. The rapper argued that over three years, $100,000 could make an incredible difference to a single school.

Chance addressed the room:

What are you doing? I’ve been asking for money for school for years and now you have $95 million for a cop academy? I’ve been asking for money for over a year now to fund these classrooms, and on the 4th of July they announced [...] they’re proposing to build a $95 million cop academy.

A recent review of the Chicago Department of Justice found the police department of Chicago has been “responsible for the use of excessive and deadly force against people who pose no threat, [have used] force in health crises, exhibit racially discriminatory behaviour and [have] officers with no accountability who are poorly trained.”

Despite Chance’s impassioned speech, approval for the police academy was voted in at 48-1. (XXL)
