THERE ARE PLENTY of reports that Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian got married yesterday, two months after the birth of their first child.
The day before the wedding, there was speculation that the professional tennis player and her partner who co-founded Reddit were about to get hitched in New Orleans. Like Michael Fassbender’s wedding, the location reportedly wasn’t disclosed to guests until they were picked up from their hotel.

American newspaper Sidney Herald guessed that the guestlist included Venus (obv), Eva Longoria, Ciara, Kelly Rowland and loads of other stars.
Yesterday, several of Serena’s friends were letting social media know that they were in New Orleans.

American actor Colton Haynes was also in reportedly in attendance and shared a tweet about being emotional ‘in the best way’.

Plenty of other celebs were reportedly there, on top of the big names that confirmed their presence in New Orleans online.
Kim Kardashian, Beyoncé, Tina Knowles and Vogue’s editor-in-chief Anna Wintour were spotted at the event, which 250 guests attended.

There’s reports that the wedding’s theme was Beauty and the Beast and guests entered to the song ‘Be Our Guest’. Serena had an entire street closed off for the after party at New Orleans’ Contemporary Arts Centre, where a brass band performed jazz music for guests. A member of the production crew says that setting up the venue took four days.

A source told Mail Online that the wedding was a real celebration of Serena’s life:
Food was cooked in an outdoor tent, but if that’s not enough, they also had two food trucks and an outdoors bar for the guests. Guests weren’t allowed to bring phones to the $1 million event, because Vogue are rumoured to have had an exclusive photo deal with Serena and Alexis.
