A LONGTIME TAYLOR Swift fan named Stephanie used the singer’s new app The Swift Life (it’s like a social media site for Taylor Swift fans) to share a story about a life-changing gift she received from Taylor.

Stephanie wrote:

I’ve been contemplating posting this story for a while. I’ve decided to tell you all what Taylor did for me this night. What many of you don’t know is that for 8 months of my pregnancy, I was homeless. Long story short, our first flat was condemned for health and safety reasons and we lost everything.

Shortly after losing her home, Stephanie’s partner Matthew lost his job. Stephanie was all set to meet Taylor Swift after a concert in Manchester, when her mother got in touch with the singer and explained what had happened, asking if there was anything if there was anything she could do to make Stephanie ‘feel special’ during the meet and greet.

After the show, Taylor took us back to her dressing room where she told me “Stephanie, you’ve been in my life for a long time and you’ve never asked me for anything. You could have reached out and I would have helped you. But you didn’t. Your mom told me…”

After this Taylor told Stephanie she wanted to reimburse her for the ticket to her concert that night. Stephanie then went on to say:

What she actually did was help us buy a home and all I needed for my baby. She told me “I want you to be able to enjoy your little girl, not to have to worry about all this stuff.”

E!News confirmed that Taylor did indeed donate money to Stephanie, helping her to buy a house. In the past Taylor has surprised fans by donating money towards paying off their student loans and buying Christmas and Hanukkah presents for fans, under a holiday she calls “Swiftmas”.
