Anthony Devlin Anthony Devlin
WILL YOUNG CLAIMS that a London bus driver made a homophobic comment towards him while he was travelling through the city.
The 38-year-old singer reported the incident to Transport for London and was disappointed by the response he received. He took to Twitter to vent his frustration and appeal to the Mayor of London for help.
He wrote:
He added that he was not sure how anybody’s supposed to get footage of similar incidents if he couldn’t, even when he reported it ten minutes later.
The singer then tweeted Sadiq Khan, asking the Mayor to ensure that this bus driver does not abuse anyone else.
A spokesperson from Transport for London got in touch with Will shortly after. They wrote:
TfL then asked for contact details. Fans of the singer have applauded him for not letting the slur used by the driver slide.
