AFTER SEVEN YEARS together, Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux have split up.
In a statement to Associated Press, Jennifer’s publicist said that the ‘decision to split was “mutual and lovingly made at the end of last year”.
The couple released a public statement to reduce further speculation.
Normally we would do this privately, but given that the gossip industry cannot resist an opportunity to speculate and invent, we wanted to convey the truth directly. Whatever else is printed about us that is not directly from us, is someone else’s fictional narrative. Above all, we are determined to maintain the deep respect and love that we have for one another.
Jennifer (49) married Justin Theroux (46) in August 2015 after three years of being engaged. As the name suggests, he’s the cousin of Louis Theroux.
[We are] two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship.
In an interview earlier this week, Theroux said that he and Aniston did not spend her birthday together on the 11th of February and that they would not be spending Valentine’s Day together either.

Before his seven year relationship with Jennifer Aniston, Theroux was in a relationship with stylist Heidi Bivens for 14 years. Prior to Jennifer’s marriage to Theroux, she had spend five years married to Brad Pitt from 2000 – 2005.
Earlier this month, Aniston took Architectural Digest on a tour of the incredible house that the couple lived in together.
