Over the weekend, Ant and Dec got themselves into a bit of trouble after they made a comment on Saturday Night Takeaway about Great Britain.
While introducing Sofa Watch, Dec said “Can I just stop you there for a second? What about Northern Ireland? Yeah, see Northern Ireland is not actually part of Great Britain, but we still want Northern Ireland to be part of Sofa Watch.” You can watch that clip here.
Viewers didn’t like that comment at all. The Irish Post gathered some responses from viewers on Twitter and compiled them into a list. The responses ranged from “Ant and Dec referred to Northern Ireland as not part of GB. That’s me finished with Ant and Dec”, to “What the f**k are Ant and Dec on about?”
Some of the calmer responses were along the lines of “When did Northern Ireland leave Great Britain?” but mostly, there were just a lot of red-faced angry emojis. (Belfast Telegraph)

In other news from the north, Saoirse Ronan’s been holidaying in Derry.
Back in December, the 23-year-old actress was chatting on Good Morning America, when she was asked a question from an Irish man in the audience. Intrigued by the man’s accent, Saoirse asked where he was from. He told her that he was from Derry, and she replied “Ah, very good. I love Derry! It’s one of my favourite cities.”
Well, it turns out it’s actually true. Saoirse paid a visit to Derry over the weekend and took a walking tour to go look at some of the historic sites. All bundled up in a hat and scarf, she even posed for photos with the staff from Derry City Tours.
Who knows? Maybe she’ll drop down to Dublin soon.(Derry Now)

The 45-year-old performed the song Nowhere Fast alongside singer Kehlani, with a new verse added onto the beginning of the song.
He rapped:
Before the performance, Eminem and Kehlani were welcomed to the stage by Big Sean and Florida school shooting survivor Alex Moscou, who had just spoken about the upcoming anti-gun march in Washington, D.C. (Metro)
