James Corden brought up Jamie Dornan's embarrassing stint as a folk singer

REGARDLESS OF WHAT they do before or after a major role, there are some actors who will be forever associated with that one film or series that made them a household name.
Look at Robert Pattinson and Twilight, for example. Or Jamie Dornan and the 50 Shades series. Lots of people don’t even realise that either of those actors existed before those massive franchises flung them into the consciousness of the general public.
All too often, we forget that Jamie Dornan was a Calvin Klein model who dated Keira Knightly for two years in the early 00s. We also always seem to forget about his brief music career, as a singer in the band Sons of Jim.

Last year we took a deep dive into Jamie’s career in Sons of Jim, and looked at the song he dedicated to Keira Knightley, which Dornan described as painful to sing, as it “hurts so much”.
This week, Jamie appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden.
On the couch with Jamie, was Florence Welch. Unbeknownst to Welch, Jamie had spent some time with her at the Guilty Pleasures tent at Latitude festival a few years prior.

It was Florence’s first ever headline gig, and she has absolutely no recollection of what happened after it. Jamie, however, remembers it quite well.
Florence couldn’t get over herself, trying to hog all of the attention that day. She laughed, “As if playing a headline show wasn’t enough for me!”
Then James asked Jamie about his music career…

Jamie told him, “We had some nice moments but we weren’t… great.”
Jamie explained that he was a pretty moody singer, and he also tried to hide behind a harmonica when he could.
James Corden went on to ask Florence about the beginnings of her career in London, and it turns out that the pair of them both played in the same venue in London back in the day. Small world.
