First Dates Ireland (RTÉ 2, 9.30pm)
It’s back! In this new series of First Dates Ireland, mother and daughter Amy and Delia from Wicklow arrive to the restaurant together for a double date, and end up matched with old-fashioned romantic Donie and Drogheda supermarket manager Cian. Meanwhile, Aidan from Tralee launches an all-out charm offensive on Siobhan from Youghal, but will it do the trick? There’s also a new staff member named Libby making an appearance on the show tonight.
Death in Paradise (BBC One, 9pm)
A new crime series starring Ardal O’Hanlon. Four passengers board the bus to Honore, and one of them ends up murdered with a knife wound to the chest. When everyone else claims to have remained in their seats and seen nothing, Jack and his team are baffled by the mystery. Meanwhile, one of Jack’s teammates, Florence, is suspiciously quiet. The DI prepares to launch a whole investigation into that, but it turns out she just has a new boyfriend.
The Secret Life of 4 Year Olds (Channel 4, 8pm)
The wholesome award-winning documentary returns with an all-new cast of children who are getting to grips with the classroom of the future. Gone are the days of playing with mala and crayons. This programme is taking a look at how tablets, robots and other gadgets affect how the kids play and what modern technology is doing to the brains and bodies of the next generation of digital natives.
Everybody’s talking about… Natasha Lyonne’s latest Netflix series.
Orange is the New Black and But I’m A Cheerleader Star will be returning to our screens on the 1st of February in a brand new Netflix original series called Russian Doll and it looks like it’ll be pretty bingeworthy. Think The Good Place, but more like The Bad Place.
