EVERY ONCE IN a while, I find myself in a style rut. A wardrobe overflowing (literally!) with clothes yet I feel totally uninspired by the majority of them.
In a perfect Marie Kondo world, I would fill bags and bags of clothes that no longer bring me joy and take them to the clothes bank.
But when your bank balance doesn’t allow you to replenish that wardrobe, I often end up hanging onto items that I might not necessarily love, but fulfil a purpose.
It’s a flawed system, I admit, but over the years, I’ve found ways to add love to pieces that I might have grown tired of and in a way that saves me some cash.
It’s not a new concept, but after years of reading magazine articles talking about the importance of accessorising, I finally began to listen.
Hats, belts, bags, sunglasses - I love the lot - but there is one accessory that myself and everyone else could not get enough of over the last few years and that’s earrings.
I’m not talking your standard 12-pack from Penneys but big, bold, statement earrings.
Yes, Pat Butcher became a surprising style icon for many of us recently, with everyone embellishing their earlobes with big and bright jewellery.

Now, I’ve started to grow tired of the trend and have reverted back to my staple gold hoops, leaving a little room in my accessory drawer for something new.

You might have seen your favourite fashion influencers donning them on Instagram and now they’ve made it to the high street.
