Everything worth checking out in Dublin if you don't have plans for St. Patrick's Day yet

Brunch:
Instead of leaving your St. Patrick’s Day brunch plans ’til the last minute, you can buy a ticket to an over 18s brunch event where you can start pre-drinking and while listening to music by all of your fav hip hop artists.
Another ticketed event that provides entertainment from a variety of Dublin’s favourite drag queens, a drink, the brunch itself and dessert. A nice idea for anyone looking to stay clear of the city centre until the teenagers drinking cans at the parade clear out of the place.

Fehdah, Caoi De Barra (from Wyvern Lingo), Anna Mieke and Dowry gather for a showcase of Ireland’s contemporary music scene at this ticketed event.
This exhibition will feature a selection of photographic projects by Irish artists such as Aisling McCoy, Cian Burke, Dorje de Burgh, George Voronov, Jamin Keogh, Phelim Hoey, Robert Ellis, Roisin White, Sarah Flynn and Zoe Hamill.
If you’re looking for somewhere to go drinking on Paddy’s Day, this BYOB event in Dublin 8 will feature music from Telephones DJ Papa Loui, Wastefellow (of Soft Boy Records), and a handful of others.
Another spot to engage in some day drinking, featuring music from Sim Simma residents and some more DJs, tba. Entry is free and all.
Does 4pm count as day drinking? Does it count as day drinking on Paddy’s Day? Anyway, here’s another ticketed event, and Pyg are even going to keep the two for one cocktails offer on for the duration of the event (although it does say subject to change – so beware of that)
Over the course of six hours, there’ll be six live acts in The Grand Social. The acts have yet to be named, but the most important thing is that this event has no admission fee.
Nighttime:
Exactly what it says in the event title. Kelly-Anne Byrne is taking over Mother for the night, spinning a load of tunes from Irish artists.
Built By All City are going to be throwing a party across two rooms in Wigwam, with some of Dublin’s best talent spread between the basement and upstairs dancefloors.
If you’re a Talking Heads fan, the Light House Cinema are airing their concert film once again, as part of their St. Patrick’s Day tradition.
A comedy show featuring headliner Eleanor Tiernan, and loads of other comedians including Shane Clifford, Erin McGathy, Conor O’Toole, Pauline Shanahan and Ronan Lineksy.
The usual DJs from Farrier & Draper host a Paddy’s Day special, and it’s only a fiver in.
Afrobeat collective Yankari will have a two-hour set at this event, and will be joined by some other unreal acts, like Super Silly (who we’ve been telling you to listen to for about two years now), Donal Dineen, Meruteria, Papaya and Moving Still.
Although the tickets for this one are pricey enough, the lineup’s well worth it for anyone who’s a fan of the recording artists that work with D1 Recordings.
