When Brendan Met Trudy (9.15pm)
The 2000 romantic comedy written by Roddy Doyle. Brendan is an earnest, introverted schoolteacher, who aside from his participation in the local choir, has only one passion in his life – the movies. That is until he meets Trudy, a woman who is gregarious and adventurous beyond his imagination. His entire persona changes as he becomes enveloped in her carefree and sometimes dangerous world.
Ice Age: Collision Course (RTÉ One, 7.10pm)
Animated adventure as the gang return for the fifth installment in the film series. Still lovingly protecting his acorn, Scrat’s actions inadvertently catapult him into space when he accidentally disturbs an abandoned alien ship – and the situation worsens when he also sends several asteroids hurtling towards the earth. While Manny struggles to deal with his daughter’s new-found desire for independence, he has bigger problems to worry about when he realises the planet is under threat, and has to embark on a mission to save the world.
The Wolf of Wall Street (RTÉ 2, 9pm)
A New York stockbroker rises from unemployment to become one of the richest men in the city’s financial elite through an illegal scheme to defraud investors. His wealth brings him an outrageously debauched lifestyle, but comes at a price, as the FBI become suspicious of his manipulation of the markets. Fact-based drama directed by Scorses and starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonah Hill and Matthew McConaughey.
The Ray D’Arcy Show (RTÉ One, 9.30pm)
Oscar nominee Richard E. Grant speaks exclusively to Ray D’arcy about awards season, his selfie with Barbra Streisand and the enduring popularity of Withnail and I. Then Irish couple Aaron and Jay O’Bryan reveal their battle to get their one-year-old son an Irish passport after living in Canada, and how they still don’t have full legal rights in Ireland. Then Pauline McLynn joins Ray to share some of her favourite St. Patrick’s Day memories, and 14-year-old busker Sam Clifford tells Ray about being plucked from the busking scene in Dublin to playing in front of 13,000 people in the 3Arena with Keith Urban.

Daniel and Majella’s USA Road Trip (RTÉ One, 9.30pm)
Daniel and Majella head stateside for a new road trip adventure. The pair of them meet another couple who have travelled 12,000 miles in an RV, spend a night in a Halloween themed B&B and visit a Celtic art centre in Minneapolis, headed by Dubliner Cormac O’Sé. The usual hilarity and absurdity is guaranteed.
St. Patrick’s Festival Parade (RTÉ One, 12.15pm)
Aidan Power, Bláthnaid Ní Chofaigh and Des Cahill present live from the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Dublin, which will feature street theatre and pageant companies from Ireland and the world.
Darby O’Gill and the Little People (RTÉ 2, 3.50pm)
The story of an ageing Irish caretaker and yarn-spinner who stumbles into the underground kingdom of the leprechauns after losing his job to a younger man. He is granted three wishes by the king of the ‘little people’ but when his daughter is taken ill, only the leprechauns can help him. Based upon the writings of H.T. Kavanaugh. Probably gave you nightmares as a child, but it’s still a St. Patrick’s Day tradition, isn’t it? Pass the nightmares on to your own kids this year.
Women’s Six Nations Live (RTÉ 2, 1pm)
Daire O’Brien is joined by Fiona Steed, Jenny Murphy and Lynne Cantwell for live coverage of Wales v Ireland from the Arms Park, Cardiff. Commentary from Hugh Cahill and Fiona Coghlan. Kick-off at 1.30pm.

Night at the Museum (Virgin Media One, 3.25pm) All-star comedy about a security guard who takes on the role of night watchman at a New York museum, unaware that an ancient curse causes the exhibits to come to life after dark.
Britain’s Got Talent: Top 10 LOL Moments (Virgin Media One, 2.45pm) Stephen Mulhern takes a trip down memory lane and reveals the top 10 LOL Moments in Britain’s Got Talent history.
