WE COULD ALL do with a bit of good news. Well step up to the plate Ashton Kutcher and Ellen DeGeneres who have served us a big slice of cute.

Ellen turned 60 in February and her wife Portia de Rossi gave her a rather gorgeous present of a wildlife foundation in her name called the Ellen DeGeneres Wildlife Fund. It works mainly in Africa trying to save endangered gorillas, something which she has been passionate about for a long time.

So Ashton Kutcher shows up on the show yesterday to surprise Ellen with a little gift. Himself and Guy Oseary (manager of Amy Schumer and U2) have an investment fund where they fund high tech companies. They’ve been funding a company called Ripple which allows you to transfer money instantly.

Ashton asked Ellen what she was planning on doing for her holidays to which Ellen replied that she was heading to Africa to set up the foundation. It was then Ashton explained about Ripple and stared paying Ellen a lot of compliments.

You never asked for anything from anyone ever. We said there’s this amazing human being and they ever do is think about other people that they can give to. You’re always thinking about everyone else. We wanted to show you that people are thinking about you.

Excuse me for a second, I have something in my eye.

So Ashton and Guy on behalf of Ripple decided to give Ellen $4 million for her wildlife fund. Ellen was SHOOK but in a good way.

The best part was because it’s an app, Ellen was able to transfer the money herself and she looked only delighted to do so.

It was all very emotional and lovely because honestly what is nicer than Ashton Kutcher showing up and giving you $4 million for something that’s so important to you?

All she could really say was ‘I love you both so much and I love Ripple’. Don’t we all Ellen.
