Here's everything we know so far about Aisling Bea's new pilot with NBC

The 8 of 10 Cats co-host has been cast alongside Jay from the Inbetweeners.

AISLING BEA IS one of the most successful Irish exports in recent times. She’s  a successful stand-up comedian, the co-host on Channel 4′s ‘8 out of 1o Cats’ as well as being in ‘The Fall‘, ‘Damned’ and ‘Gap Year’.  All while being from Kildare which is some achievement.

She played the main role in BBC’s ‘Hard Sun’ and this seems to have led to her being cast in a exciting pilot coming out of NBC in the US.

The new show is yet to be given a title but what we do know is that it’s a comedy series written by Aseem Batra who was produced and written for other shows like ‘Scrubs’ and ‘The Cleveland Show’.

This new project is set to be based around the book ‘I Feel Bad: All Day. Every Day. About Everything’ by Orli Auslander. The show is described as ‘one woman’s hilarious unfiltered take on the side effects of trying to have it all’.

Aisling Bea has been cast as ‘Simone’ who is the main characters childhood friend. By the sounds of it, the character is perfect for Bea as she will be the female version of ‘The Most Interesting Man In The World’ and sounds like a bit of a troublemaker.

The show will also be co-produced and written by Amy Poehler and the cast includes Paul Adelstein (Prison Break), Zach Cherry (Spiderman:Homecoming), Sarayu Blue (Blockers), James Buckley (Inbetweeners) and Johnny Pemberton (21/22 Jump Street).

Given the cast and the producers and writers, this looks set to be a really good show and no doubt an excellent chance for Bea to break the States (if she hasn’t already). Keep your eyes peeled for more on it!
