ASOS handled printing 17,000 shopping bags with a typo in a pretty unique way
WELL, THIS SURE is one way to handle a f*ck-up.
Next time you order something from ASOS, don’t be so quick to throw away the packaging. You could be one of 17,000 lucky owners of an exclusive misprinted plastic shopping bag.
Whoops!
We couldn't find this Tweet
The clear plastic packaging reads: “ASOS discover fashion onilne”, instead of … Well, you’ve probably guessed.
Instead of reprinting them though (or worse, throwing them away), they’ve decided to roll with it and send them out anyway.
Now, ASOS shoppers on Twitter are hoping they’ll be one of the lucky few to snag a bag.
However, there is a slight concern – albeit very slight – that, in the age of Supreme bricks, the “limited edition” misprinted bags might end up selling for sky-high prices elsewhere online.
(In the event that you do get one of these bags, please don’t be that person).
It wouldn’t be the first time that a seemingly innocuous, everyday item sold for a ridiculously high price. Last April, Balenciaga debuted its $2,145 Arena Extra-Large Shopper Tote Bag, which some reckon looks an awful lot like IKEA’s 99-cent Frakta tote.
