New Assassin's Creed game features fairly brutal Irish accent
MEET SHAY PATRIC Cormac.
He’s an Assassin-turned-Templar and the star of the newest game in the hugely popular Assassin’s Creed franchise game, due out in September.
Assassin’s Creed Rogue isn’t set in Ireland, but there’s no mistaking that Shay’s name and accent place his origins firmly on the old sod.
Not that the accent is spot on – not by a long shot. We’re not talking Tom-Cruise-in-Far-and-Away levels of dodginess but there’s definitely an air of ‘begorrah’ about it.
Have a listen:
According to Game Informer Assassin’s Creed Rogue will see Shay navigating a ship across the North Atlantic, scouring the Appalachian River Valley and navigating 1750s New York in search of revenge.
