This is the worst sex writing you'll read this year

Possibly NSFW.

“SHE TOOK THE full length in her mouth, savouring the hard, wet….”

SORRY. We were just describing eating a delicious Loop De Loop on a hot summer’s day when you interrupted us. Back to the story at hand…

An award-winning Candian author has another – slightly dubious – trophy to add to her collection after Nancy Huston took home the Bad Sex in Fiction prize in London last night.

Huston was chosen for her risqué scenes in her book Infrared, which details a family holiday in Florence and a photographer who uses infrared techniques to capture intimate images of her lovers.

Here’s a snippet:

Kamal and I are totally immersed in flesh, that archaic kingdom that brings forth tears and terrors, nightmares, babies and bedazzlements. The word pleasure is far too weak for what transpires there. So is the word bliss.

And another:

…my sex swimming in joy like a fish in water

Huston didn’t show up last night to collect her prize from Downton Abbey actress Samantha Bond, but she did send a statement, and said that she hoped her victory would:

…incite thousands of British women to take close-up photos of their lovers’ bodies in all states of array and disarray.

Get snapping girls!
