Barack Obama has joined Pinterest (and posted the Obama family chilli recipe)
HE ALREADY HAS over thirteen million followers on Twitter but now Barack Obama has turned his attention to the new big thing in social networks: Pinterest.
The American president – or at least, his campaign team – joined the online pinboard earlier this month but only began posting pictures this afternoon.
So far the boards include Obama-inspired recipes, Pet Lovers for Obama, The First Family and, inevitably Merchandising for the 2012 campaign. If that all means nothing to you, you might want to check out our cut-out-and-keep guide to what exactly Pinterest does.
In the meantime, there’s no indication yet on whether the president is going to follow the lead of other Pinterest users and post photographs of cute animals, homemade crafts or Ryan Gosling.
And just in case you’re interested, here’s that chilli recipe. We here at TheJournal.ie aren’t convinced by the travesty of adding red wine vinegar to chilli but maybe that’s just us…
So, what exactly is Pinterest? (And why is everyone paying attention to it?)
