The coffee boy in question used the heat warning on the cup to spell out “Careful, you’re extremely hot”.

The text would usually say, “Careful, the beverage you’re about to enjoy is extremely hot”.

The image was posted to Shit London Facebook page by Alex Blaine, who said:

Creepy barista writing inappropriate messages on my daughter’s coffee. Looks like son in-law material.

The daughter in question, Laura Roberts, told the Daily Mail that she didn’t mind the message, and the guy who did it was from her local Starbucks and was “lovely”.

He’s a lovely boy, I don’t find it creepy  and I didn’t feel intimidated.

The barista is barking up the wrong tree, however, as Roberts says she’s happily engaged.
