BBC reporter gets incredibly high on burning drugs, giggles uncontrollably

Quentin Sommerville, high as anything

BBC MIDDLE EAST correspondent Quentin Sommerville is a hardened journalist who has reported from several war zones.

But even he has off days.

Yesterday, he tweeted this video blooper – apparently never before seen – from four years ago, in which he delivers a piece to camera while standing next to a pile of burning opium in Afghanistan.

Only problem? He gets so high on the opium fumes, he can’t finish his intro:

Sommerville has since deleted the tweet, and the video. A BBC spokesperson told the Telegraph:

The video of Quentin corpsing, which has now been deleted, was posted in the spirit of a blooper. It was filmed four years ago – it hasn’t been seen before and was never broadcast.

However, the reporter DID have this cautionary word for his Twitter followers:
