Beachgoers rescue stranded dolphins at Brazil beach
BEACHGOERS IN BRAZIL helped a pod of around 30 dolphins swim back out to sea after they were washed ashore and became beached in shallow water.
Dozens of tourists and local people went into the sea to push and pull the mammals into deeper water at the beach in Rio de Janeiro when they were washed up right beside the beach and were in clear distress. The dolphins appeared out of nowhere after apparently being caught in a strong ocean current.
The rescue was filmed by one person on the beach and has received over one million views on YouTube since it was uploaded earlier this week.
