Help, I can't stop watching YouTube videos of people destroying makeup
I’VE NEVER BEEN an ASMR person. While I occasionally find it hilarious, I never got that tingly head rush that so many fans experience.
Tell you what I can get behind though? Any videos which involved something being destroyed. I’m a big lover of soap cutting videos, a big trend in 2018. But now, I think I’ve discovered a new love …
… Aggressive makeup depotting.
A YouTube channel called Beauty News came up in my recommended watches, initially for its less destructive videos attempting to showcase how much product you actually get in certain makeup products.

And while that’s very interesting and informative for the most part, nothing is quite as satisfying as watching them stab the shite out of a an excessively designed, rose-shaped highlighter … in reverse.

Watching them use the spatula to repress the powders into pans … I’m salivating.
Listen, if these videos really don’t get you going, they also do pretty in-depth reviews of gimmick-y products, new releases and upcoming trends. There’s a reason why they have 500k subscribers – there’s no BS with them.
If anyone is interested in what I’ll be doing over Christmas, I’ll be binging these videos. And potentially investing in a scraper.
