6 reasons Benedict Cumberbatch could do no wrong on Graham Norton

Bendystick Cucumbersnatch.

IT’S OFFICIAL. BENEDICT Cumberbatch can say ‘penguins’.

He proved it last night during his appearance on The Graham Norton Show to promote his new film The Imitation Game, where he nearly charmed the pants off everyone including his very own Madame Tussauds wax figure.

Here are his best bits…

1. Pengwings

It recently emerged that there was a strong possibility that Benedict Cumberbatch couldn’t say the word penguins. Analysis of a documentary narrated by the actor revealed that he did in fact pronounce it…

So last night Graham put him to the test.

2. The Jar Jar Binks impression

Cumberbatch refused to comment on whether or not he’s been treated to a teeny part in JJ Abrams new Star Wars film after he was spotted on the set. He also refused to comment on whether he’s in the new Star Trek movie.

He did however, do a decent Jar Jar Binks:

4. “I’m just getting stiff even listening to you”

Describing meeting and chatting to 18-year-old US Olympic gold medal swimmer Missy Franklin and her parents, Cumberbatch revealed how he had marvelled at everything she had achieved so far, and then uttered the words:

I’m getting stiff even listening to you.

And then he made this face:

5. He photobombed his own waxwork

B-Cumbz came face to face with his uncanny Madame Tussauds wax figure on the Graham Norton set.
