THE BEST TYPE of cake is cheesecake. Don’t fight us on this.
If you’ve accepted cheesecake as your lord and saviour, here are nine places where you can enjoy it in Dublin. No need to thank us.
Queen of Tarts, Dame St
The home of pastries and cakes in Dublin. Queen of Tarts serves not one but four types of cheesecake at the moment – Baileys, New York style, chocolate and raspberry, and lemon and blueberry. There is simply too much choice.
The Larder, Parliament St
This Temple Bar-adjacent restaurant always has a lovely cheesecake on the menu – currently, it’s white chocolate and raspberry. YES PLEASE.
Foam, Strand St Great
There are at least three delicious cheesecakes on the go here every day, and the slices are delightfully huge. Perfect for a cosy afternoon.
Noshington, South Circular Rd
LOOK at that Creme Egg cheesecake. Need we say more?
San Lorenzo’s, George’s St
The brunch favourite has a decadent Nutella baked cheesecake that would make you cry. It’s accompanied by salted caramel ice cream too, in case the chocolate isn’t enough.
Love Is Art, Strand St Great
A quirky little spot off the beaten track that does a mean line in sweet treats (this is a blueberry cheesecake). Obsessed.
The Farm, Leeson St/Dawson St
Again, maybe the flavour changes every once in a while, but cheesecake is always a constant on The Farm’s dessert menu. Right now it’s Toblerone and rum raisin.
Wigwam, Abbey St
A new kid on the block, Wigwam is already making the name for itself on the cheesecake scene (yes, there is a cheesecake scene. We just started it). This isn’t a slice but a mousse, accompanied by a delish berry coulis.
The Pig’s Ear
OK, so you mightn’t be dropping into The Pig’s Ear after a day at the shops, but if you ever happen to go there – order the cheesecake. It vanilla flavoured, it comes in a little jar, and it’s fantastic.
